I wanted to take the time today to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving! I started to write individual thank you messages to those of you who I wanted to give a shout out to, but I realized: that’s all of you. I wouldn’t want to accidentally leave someone out and have them think for an instant that I am not thankful for them as well. I truly am thankful for each of you.
For those of you who take the time to comment here.
For each of you who email me when something I write touched you or made you laugh.
For each of you who just come here to read what I have to say. Even if you don’t comment, I am so glad you come to read this.
For each of you who have blogs and give me hours (probably more hours than I can spare) of entertainment. Thank you.
With everything in my life seeingly upside down, I cannot put into words what it means to me to get such support from people who don’t know me. (Although< I love getting to know you all better every day.) You all are the bestest! I am thankful for my wonderful husband who has stood by me for nearly 18 years through some of the best and worst times of my life. For being my best friend through it all. For making me laugh and laughing with me (and sometimes at me) for so many years. For being everything a man should be and helping me to become everything I can be. I am thankful for Kidlet Sr. who never ceases to amaze me with the way he is growing up and showing what a wonderful young man he is becoming and for using that smart mind he has for such good things. I am thankful for Kidlet Jr. whose creativity is amazing to see develop. In my mind he is still my baby boy, but I see him growing up to be one of the kindest, most loving people I have ever met. I so thoroughly enjoy watching his creative side burst forth this year. (Look out for this one. You will see him on stage or in print in the future. Mark my words on that one!) And I am thankful for Little Diva whose spirit and energy are matched by none. She is all of the best parts of us wrapped into one beautiful package. I am still amazed that we have her in our lives. She is the best unexpected blessing to come into our lives. Watching her grow up is so much fun. All of my family fills my heart with more joy than I could ever express! Thank you for letting me share them with you. Sometimes I know that Mommy/Wife brags can be a lot to handle on a full stomach, but I appreciate your willingness to let me share them with you and your kindness in getting to know them. So, when it is all said and done remember this: You, too, are cared about. I care about you. I am thankful for YOU.
Happy Thanksgiving!
