This that and not much more
Today is declared Randomness Because I Cannot Focus Day here where mommy needs much more coffee! For now, at least, I am just going to spew out the details without much cohesion to them. Just so you know…
It is just not good for me to miss a day or routine. Now, if it is a scheduled day, say like a holiday that everyone gets or a day where it is expected that you will be “off”, then that is one thing. Taking a day off while the rest of the world around me goes on about their business just throws me into a tailspin.
Early Sunday we drove to Houston for a surprise party. It was nothing but go-go-go the whole time we were there. We left at 11:00am and got home late last night. (We made stops. I’ll tell you about them in a minute.) So, even though it was a school day, the boys missed. So, while I am thinking eveyone missed, they are playing catch up. (Poor guys!) I feel like I need about 5 more hours in this afternoon to catch up on things that I should have done yesterday. (And just tell me, how does a house get messy when no one is home to do it? Why am I overwhelmed with laundry and cleaning? That just plain old sucks!)
We did get a chance to go through College Station and visit the campus. I felt about 105 years old looking at all of the young kids there. *sigh* Someone please tell me that I will not be too old to have a good experience there in the Fall. Someone please tell me that they are not all going to “Yes ma’am” me and treat me like their MOM! Someone, please lend me your cane!
I had to work on PTA stuff for a couple of hours this morning. (Yes, hours. Damn if they refuse to let me breakup with them before the year ends! Sore losers.) So, I had to mass email out a bunch of information and request RSVPs for a banquet. (For those of you who have never gotten an email from me, most of the time, the signature line has a tagline for this blog.) Are you catching up to where I am going with this yet? No? Well, I had to send it to the PTA president, the school principal, a couple of teachers and some former PTA members. Remember the tagline part of the email that sometimes gets attached? Yep. I think that may have gone out on one or two. Any chance I can pretend it wasn’t me who had the whole PTA Mom breakdown written here? The PTA breakup? Oh well.
Hi there PTA people who now know I talk about you. (At least I don’t use names!) I don’t know. I am guessing this will seal the whole breakup deal, don’t you think? I know for sure I won’t be getting PTA Mom of the Year now.
