I Can Read!

I am not a meme person, but a friend who has been so supportive tagged me, so I am not one to say no to friends who are good to me.  So, for my gal over at ArmyWifeToddlerMom, here is the meme she asked me to do a long time ago that I did and forgot in my drafts.

1) A book that changed my life:

Bird by Bird by Anne Lamott; Are you There God? It’s Me, Margaret by Judy Blume (Come on!  You read it too, girls!)

2) A book I’ve read more than once:

There is no way I could list that here.  I reread almost every book that I enjoy. Really.  Getting rid of a book is like severing an arm.  I know I will miss it eventually.

3) A book I’d take to a desert island:

How to Escape from a Deserted Island. HA!  Probably something really long like The Illiad or War and Peace.  That way I have a long time to read it and then can reread it.  And if I get bored, I can read it to put me to sleep.  Or burn it for warmth.

4) A book that made me laugh:

Everything Janet Evanovich.  Hysterical writer.  Also, David Sedaris.  Love him!

5) A book that made me cry:

The Notebook, Nicholas Sparks; A lot of books make me cry.  I am a sap.

6) A book I wish had been written:

I’m Okay, You’re a Bitch (You know.  A Self-Help and How-To combined.  Yes, based on, I’m Okay, You’re Okay, but really.  If you have issues, it’s usually because they are SO NOT okay!)

7) A book that should never have been written:

A Million Little Pieces, James Frey.  Still hate that little bastard for what he did to the publishing industry.

8) A book I’m currently reading:

Happiness Sold Seperately, Lolly Winston

9) A book I’m planning to read:

MINE whenever it is published!
