Hi gang!  Buzz here again.  Well, it looks like it’s another (in)famous “Eye-Candy Friday” here at Jenn’s place so I guess I better get a little sumpthin sumpthin up here!  (Ok ok, I admit it.  I just made up “Eye-Candy Friday” just now, but that’s not such a bad thing, is it?) Anyway, you all know how much she loves her Matthew, so here you go.  What a hunky beau stud, eh?

Vacation

Vacation

I sure hope that Jenn and Clint are having a great vacation!  Don’tcha just LOVE vacations!  I got to be a-thinkin’ about vacations that Pat and I have taken over the years and it occurs to me that one of my favorites ever was in a rather surprising place.  Toronto.

Now, I’m not saying that it’s surprising that we would like Toronto, I’m saying that we generally hate cities.  Vacation in NYC?  No thanks!  Detroit?  Hell no!  San Francisco?  No…..wait, maybe San Francisco.  That one tempts me.

But Toronto was great!  It was many things that other big cities are not.  It was clean.  It was quiet.  It felt safe to walk around at night.  And the people were so friendly!!  We left there (begrudgingly) in love with Canada.  I still love Canada and would go back there in a New York Toronto Minute.

So how about you guys?  Given a choice, would you vacation in a big city or a small out of the way place?

Weekend Coffee Facts

Weekend Coffee Facts

In keeping with my buddy, Genuine’s, coffee facts and seeing how it’s the weekend, and all, I think this is as good a place as any for some good old “Did You Knows”, coffee style.  So here you go:

* Contrary to popular belief, an espresso has less caffeine than a cup of coffee.  A cup of drip brewed coffee has about 115 milligrams of caffeine, an espresso (and percolated coffee) about 80mg, while instant coffee has about 65mg of caffeine.

* Coffee is the world’s most popular stimulant: 4 out of 5 Americans drink it, consuming more than 400 million cups a day!

* Coffee is the seed of a cherry from the tree genus Coffea, a tree yielding about 1kg (2lb) of coffee per year. There are more than 25 species of coffee, the 3 main commercial types being Robusta, Liberia and Arabica, the latter representing 70% of total production.

* Caffeine increases the power of aspirin and other painkillers, that is why it is found in some medicines. Ironically, caffeine withdrawal also is one of the most common causes of headaches.

Hope you’re all having a nice cup of joe and a good start to your weekend.

Buzzing in

Buzzing in

Aww, man!  Jenn’s vacation has barely started and I’m already feeling jealous!  Hi everyone, it’s just your old pal Buzz doing a little double triple blogging duty helping out my good friends while they frolic in the sun.

*insert profane grumbling here*

Looks like we have a real nice roundup of bloggers to keep things fresh here, so hopefully y’all will stop by every now and then and give us a little encouragement.  We could certainly use it, especially when you consider how shy we all are!

*insert your best “yeah, right” look here*

Jenn was silly enough to allow us to post pictures so I’m thinking up some stuff that would (barely) be acceptable on this site.  If you have any suggestions, feel free to share.

In the meantime, sit back, relax and enjoy the show.
